BIOGRAPHY SILVIA M. PHILIPP
studied art and worktechnics with completition in Munich with residences in Berlin, Rom, London, France, Scotland and Toscana. She complicated her artistic development with studies in the range of sculpture, installations, dancinng, digital film and lyrics.
In Italy and Germany she met, studied and worked with Ben Patterson, afterwards with Inge Broska.
With the world wide art-action “steps into the next millennium”, she invited people all over the world to take part. With her White Boots she created an unique- countries- connecting- historical -work of art.
Everybody/everything make steps: from a baby to an adult, from the beginning of evolution to now.
Humanity and its life in combination with the mutual influence is often in the center focal point of her work. Silvia Maria Philipp connects philosophical thoughts with science and society aspects.
After watching and studying she replaces impulses, expresses in interdisciplinary ways from science details to fluxus – to include people-to look for answers.
Her art is a contrast to “fast-moving life”, she asks for, she looks forward, back, reflects and stimulates to intensively deal with a topic.
Besides her international art-actions and exhibitions (like IN THE NAME OF THE FUGGER”, “GUTES VERSCHWENDEN-WASTING GOOD THINGS”, Mary solving the knots”, “JOURNEY OF LORELEY”, “Katharina von Bora-TABLE TALKS” she organized the first women finance congress and curates exhibitions.
Silvia M. Philipp is invited to many festivals, institutions, exhibitions and projects like
